'Train 18' to be called as Vande Bharat Express

New Delhi, January 28: Railway Minister Piyush Goyal declared that India's fastest train "Train 18" will be called as "Vande Bharat Express".

This train is well known as India's first Engine Less Train. This train contains 16 coaches and runs between Delhi and Varanasi. It covers a total distance of 755 km in just 8 hours.

The maximum speed of this train is 160km/hr. This is a fully air-conditioned train and stops only at 2 places in between at Kanpur and Allahabad.



This train will have two executive chair cars and 14 non-executive chair cars. This Train was Manufactured in Chennai, Integral Coach Factory with a total expense of 97 crores. As per officials, The fares collected for this fully airconditioned train can be 40-50% higher than Shatabdi Express.

The prices may lie between 2800-2900 for Executive class and between 1600-1700 for chair class.
