Hyderabad, Dec 6 : As we know, Telangana Irrigation minister T. Harish Rao had adopted the village Ibrahimpur recently, which does belongs to Siddipet assembly constituency. Ts Government yesterday said that the village in Siddipet Assembly has become cashless, claiming it is the first small village in south India to do so.Coming to the point, the village has a population of about 1,200 and the process of opening bank accounts to all and distributing debit cards and swiping machines has been completed, said by the TS Government in their release note.Harish Rao, who represents Siddipet in the state Legislative Assembly, observed cashless transactions in the village and said it would be ideal for others.A pilot project would be undertaken to make the Siddipet Assembly constituency cashless declared by the State Government.
