International Mother Language Day

New Delhi February 21: Today we are celebrating "The International Mother Language Day" all over the world The objective of this day is to promote linguistic and cultural goodwill among the diverse population. It aims to foster unity among various nations as it promotes the preservation and protection of all languages used by people all over the world."On the occasion of this day, I launch an appeal for the potential of multilingual education to be acknowledged everywhere, in education and administrative systems, in cultural expressions and the media, cyberspace, and trade," said Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director-General said.
