Mumbai February 12: A pregnant MNS corporator seeking re-election in Pune polls, delivered a baby on Thursday, bringing unexpected joy to her family and near ones.Rupali Patil, contesting from Shaniwar Peth-Narayan Peth ward on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena s ticket for Pune Municipal corporation polls, had to abruptly stop her campaign after she went into labour.She was then admitted to private hospital in the city where she delivered a baby boy on Friday.According to doctors, both mother and the baby were doing good."My due date was March 5. However the hectic activities during campaigning must have advanced the date almost by a month," said Patil, who has a six-year-old daughter named Shaurya.Patil said she plans to name her newborn Ransangram and she would resume campaigning two days after discharge from the hospital.
