Odisha's second airport in Jharsuguda

Bhubaneswar, January 26: Dharmendra Pradhan the Union Minister on Friday stated that Commercial flight services from Jharsuguda airport will begin under the UDAN-III scheme.

While speaking to media in New Delhi, Pradhan said that flight services will start from Jharsuguda (the second airport in Odessa) to Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Raipur.

In this regard, SpiceJet and Alliance Air will start flight services between Jharsuguda and Kolkata, Turbo and Alliance Air flights will connect the city with Bhubaneswar. Similarly, SpiceJet will start flight services from Jharsuguda to Hyderabad and New Delhi while Jet Airways flights will launch operation from Jharsuguda to Mumbai.

Air Odessa had suspended the flight operations from Jharsuguda airport, which was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 22 last year.

Pradhan added that Alliance Air and Turbo will operate flights from Jharsuguda to Raipur.
