NCP & congress has equal seats

Mumbai, January 5: The current ruling party in Maharastra is Bharathiya Janatha Party(BJP), now National Congress Party and Congress are planning to pull down BJP.

National Congress Party and Congress might contest 20 seats each in Maharastra in upcoming Lok Sabha elections this year.

Maharastra has 48 Lok Sabha seats, apart from this NCP contest 20 seats, Congress contest 20 seats and remaining 8 will be provided for other parties in that state.

NCP leader Praful Patel said that the main purpose of the alliance is to defeat the BJP and Shiv Sena in the 2019 polls, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar will a crucial role in "Grand Alliance" and will campaign wherever required.

However, brushed off the possibility of any talk or agreement with Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
