A.P. CM orders CID investigation on train derailment

Vijayawada, January 23: As we knew that, The Andhra government on Sunday announced Rs 5 lakh each for the next of kin of 36 persons who died in the Hirakhand Express derailment in Vizianagram district.Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu yesterday ordered a CID inquiry into the train accident in Vizianagaram district which so far claimed over 40 lives and injuring several others.Mr.Naidu also issued orders directing forensic teams to visit the accident spot after Railway officials did not rule out sabotage. Chandrababu also spoke to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Odisa Chief Minister Navin Patnaik.Meanwhile, the Railway authorities expressed doubts abourt sabotage as the area where the Bhuvaneshwar-bound train derailed was Naxalite-infested area.Reports suggest that Naxalites might have involved in the incident as they wanted to prove their existence just before the Republic Day on January 26.
