Yamuna river in Delhi is above the danger mark

The national capital Delhi and its adjoining areas are facing the threat of floods. The Yamuna river in Delhi is above the danger mark due to torrential rains in many parts of Haryana. The water level of Yamuna in Delhi has crossed the warning mark after nearly nine lakh cusecs of water was released from Haryana's Hamanikund barrage on Saturday.

The problem of Delhiites has increased after water was released from the Hatnikund barrage. The water level of the Yamuna river has risen from 204.5 meters to 205.94 meters, which is the danger mark. The movement of trains from Yumna Bridge has been stopped for the time being. According to information, so far 10,000 people have been evacuated from low lying areas. In Delhi, the administrative authorities have made all out preparations to ensure that the people do not suffer much damage due to floods.

Today 23,816 people will be evacuated. A 2120-year-old camp will be set up for flood-affected people, of which 1100 have already been prepared. 30 locations have been identified by the administrative authorities in the lower reaches of Delhi. With this, 53 boats have been deployed at these places. Simultaneously emergency numbers have been issued. People living in Delhi can call 21210849, 22421656 if they have any problem with floods.
