Sushma Swaraj passes away

Delhi's first woman Chief Minister and former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj passed away at AIIMS late Tuesday night. According to reports, 67-year-old Sushma was brought to AIIMS at 9:35 p.m. after complaining of chest pains and died of cardiac arrest. In her last tweet, she congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the government's move on Kashmir and said she was looking forward to the day for the rest of her life.

With this, several Union Ministers and leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reached AIIMS late in the night and Sushma's last rites will be held at Lodhi Road crematorium at 3 pm on Wednesday. Earlier, the body has been kept at the BJP headquarters for darshan. Sushma was born on February 14, 1952 in Ambala Cantonment, Haryana, and became a cabinet minister in the Haryana government in 1977 at the age of just 25.

His political career took a big turn in 1999 and he was thrown into an electoral battle against Congress leader Sonia Gandhi from bellary seat in Karnataka. In fact, the BJP's move was part of the policy of distaking the Indian daughter in response to foreign daughter Sonia Gandhi, though Sushma lost the election but after that she succeeded and today she is in the hearts of the people. Even if she has said goodbye to the world, she will live forever in the hearts of the people.
