Gujarat Fortune Giants beats Bengaluru

Last season's runners-up Gujarat Fortune Giants defeated defending champions Bengaluru Bulls 42-24 in a one-sided manner in their first match of the seventh season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).

The Gujarat team was leading 21-10 in the first half of the match played at the Gachibavali Indoor Stadium here. The team also scored a lopsided victory in the second half. For the winning Gujarat Fortune Giants, Sachin scored 7 points while captain Sunil Kumar and More GB scored 6-6. Captain Sunil has also completed 250 tackle points in the Pro Kabaddi League. Sachin Tanwar also completed 350 red points in PKL.

The Gujarat team took 17-17 from red and tackles and six and two extra points from all out. For defending champions Bengaluru, Pawan Saharavat scored eight, Sumit Singh five and Mahendra Singh and captain Rohit Kumar four points each. The next match of the tournament will be played between U Mumba and Jaipur Pink Panthers today.
