Secunderabad Railway station introduces battery operated cars

Hyderabad, Mar 16: Five Battery Operated Cars (BOC) were introduced at Secunderabad railway station to ferry passengers on platforms at Secunderabad railway station. The cars will be operated round the clock at a cost of Rs 45 per passenger and can accommodate six passengers at a time.

Though the service is available to all the passengers, preference will be given to senior citizens, disabled and pregnant women.

The car can be booked in advance by calling on a mobile number -- 8827331111.

Operated by trained drivers, the car has many safety features such as a hand brake for an emergency stoppage. For passenger's safety, there are also cameras installed in the car.
