Asaduddin Owaisi criticizes Pakistan PM Imran Khan

Hyderabad, Mar 03: MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi criticized Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for threatening the use of nuclear weapons and playing the Muslim card against India.

Owaisi, addressing party workers at an event to mark the 61st revival day of the MIM, asked Pak PM "Do you think we lack of this facility? Our country also has atom bombs."

Taking on Khan for portraying the last Moghul emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar and Tipu Sultan as Muslim rulers and enemies of Hindus, Owaisi said Tipu Sultan was never an enemy of Hindus but had waged a war against those who were attempting to destabilize his kingdom.

He dubbed the terror organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (soldiery of Prophet Mohammad) as Jaish-e-Shayateen (soldiery of devils) and the Laskhar-e-Tayyabba as Laskhkar-e-Shayateen (troops of devils).

"Hafiz Sayeed is not a memorizer of the Quran, but he is manslayer. Islam does not permit the assassination of innocents," Owaisi said and challenged those who were advocating jihad to debate with the theologians of India in the light of the Quranic teachings and the Sharia.

Owaisi crticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his failure to unearth the Pulwama terror plot and taking action against the perpetrators. He said the Pulwama attack was a failure of our intelligence.

“What action has been taken against the persons responsible for that calamity? How many officers were suspended? How did the suicide bomber succeed in carrying the 25 kg of explosives,” he asked.

"What were the findings of the DNA of the bomber? From where did he acquire the American weapons? Who was providing these arms to terrorists in India," Mr Owaisi asked and added, "Why did Modi take 12-13 days to carry out the air strikes against Pakistan?"

He said the MIM never supported terrorism and was against forces that were trying to attack the sovereignty, integrity and security of the country.

"MIM is a party that raises its voice against injustice and atrocities. Our party will continue its struggle for the underprivileged sections without discriminating against anyone."

Taking exception to remarks that he was leading a party of Razakars, Owaisi said, “We rejected Muhammad Ali Jinnah's message. Today, in the same Darussalam (MIM headquarters) the Tricolor is hoisted on August 15 and January 26. What more proof do you need?"
