Smriti Irani takes a dig on Mamata Banerjee

New Delhi, Feb 06: West Bengal Cheif Minister Mamata Banerjee ended her dharna after the apex court ordered Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar to appear before CBI at Shillong in Meghalaya and to cooperate with CBI for the investigation of Sardha Chit Fund Scam probe.

Mamata Banerjee welcomed this decision of Supreme Court and said it was a positive judgment from Supreme Court. She ended her dharna after the decision and called it a 'Moral Victory'.

Responding to this the Union Minister Smriti Irani said there is nothing like Moral Victory for Mamata Banerjee. In reality, it is an egg on her face and said, Didi, is embarrassed after the decision. Smriti Irani said Mamata's 'political histrionics' have been brought to a standstill after the decision of the Supreme Court. She added Apex court has ensured that a free and fair investigation takes place.
