6 Hyderabed women sentenced to Jail

Women sentencing in drunk and drive cases are increasing in Hyderabad. Most of the women caught are working and IT Professionals. Working women addicting to party and pub cultures so many of these cases are registering in Gachibowli, Madhapur, Kukatpally, Miyapur and Balanagar areas. Early this month two women, a fashion designer and a techie are caught in drunk driving and had been sent to three days imprisoinment. In this January month alone, more than six women were accused and imprisioned. In that a 24yr old IT Techie, Blood Alcohol Count was found to be more than permitted level of 30mg/100ml.

Rules are Undergoing strictly for women offenders also. Previously, women caught in these cases are just punished with fine but now atleast two women are sentencing to jail every week. After caughting, lot of them were worrying about how these Police cases effect on their Visa and Passport approvals but are they are not in the thought to prevent them.

“In 2016, the number of offenders both men and women, sent to jail were 826. In 2017, It increased to 3,180. In 2018, highest number of offenders 4,203 were sent to jail. Police were conducting many awareness programs to curb drunk and drive road accidents but no one is ready to change their mindsets.
