A heart is the most important human part which can decide one’s existence on this earth. But many don’t know that Diabetes can actually increase the risk of getting cardiovascular diseases. It’s also vice-versa that a person with a good heart has fewer chances of getting diabetes.



One may have a doubt how can a person with diabetes cause heart diseases. Here is the answer. The condition of having higher glucose levels in Blood sugar level is known as Diabetes. The high glucose in blood vessels close the arteries with fat, this condition is known as “Atherosclerosis”. Atherosclerosis is having high feasibility of high blood pressure. Good cardiovascular health is associated with lower diabetes risk.

According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), a person with diabetes can get heart stroke four times more likely than a healthy person. A "Certified Diabetes Educator" only can say how badly diabetes is related to heart health. The chances of getting cardiovascular diseases are also relatively high in the family with a diabetic history. A person with diabetes has high chances of getting heart diseases in early age.

Recently a study has been conducted in American Heart Association on 7758 people on “Life’s Simple Seven Health Factors” that include maintaining healthy blood pressure, glucose levels and cholesterol, eating a healthy diet, exercising at least 150 minutes per week, not smoking and maintaining a healthy weight, showed that those who follow these factors have healthy Heart than those who miss out some of them.



"This research adds to our collective understanding about how physicians can help their patients prevent a number of serious diseases, including heart disease, cancer and now diabetes," said K. Craig Kent, at The Ohio State University College in the US.
So its always advisable to maintain your heart health and diabetic levels in order to have a Healthy Lifestyle.

What can an individual do to have a healthy life?



On the top of the list comes Healthy eating. A person who eats a balanced diet has a high chance of leading a healthy life. A balanced diet includes having the right amount of Protein, fiber and a huge lot of fruits and vegetables avoiding the intake of excessive carbs.

Everyone who is aspiring to have good health should add exercise in daily routine. A person who exercises regularly have fewer chances of depositing fat in the body or gaining weight, which keeps your heart healthy.



Try to be happy or reduce your stress levels such that you’re your blood pressure will not fluctuate and helps the heart to be healthy, Take medication as prescribed by the Doctor such that you will maintain the Diabetes.



Try to have health checkups in regular intervals of time such that you can access your health condition that needs to look into. Quit those habits that will cause more health issues like smoking or consuming alcohol.

Make these changes in your lifestyle and make yourself healthy and strong. A person who can fight hard to achieve good health is the best asset this world can ever have.
