Hyderabad, October 18:In a significant development, the High Court directed former minister Satrucharla Vijayarama Raju to pay back full amount he had received towards his salary and perks during his tenure as MLA of Nagar constituency in Vizianagaram district between 1999 and 2004. Nimmaka Jayaraju filed a petition saying that Vijayarama Raju claimed that he belongs to ST community and got elected from the constituency reserved for STs. After hearing the argument, the court clearly stated that Vijayarama Raju?s election was not valid since he submitted fake caste certificates. Another petition filed asking about the benefits he got during his tenure as MLA. The High Court after hearing this petition, directed that Vijayarama Raju has to pay back all the pay and allowances given to him.
