Police seized 1.2 crore old notes

Hyderabad March 14: A four-member gang was arrested by police here on Monday for trying to exchange old currency notes to new denominations.

According to the police officials, Three members named as Dileep Kumar, prasad, vasim khan have been consulted to the film director of Ketugadu movie Ramakrishna Alias Kittu in Banjarahills to exchange the old currency notes to the new one for 50% commission.



the four-member gang brought the old currency of Rs. 1.2 crore in Rs. 500 and 1,000 old denominations to exchange with new denominations.

On receiving an information, the police reached the spot and arrested the four persons and seized Rs. 1.2 crore of old currency.

The seized money and the four persons will be handed over to the I.T officials, Said police officer.
