Instagram Stories with geotagged stickers

New York, March 8: In yet another copycatting of Snapchat, photo-sharing app Instagram now allows users to use geostickers to tag images and videos in its Stories feature just like Snapchat Stories, media reported on Wednesday.

"Currently only live in two cities -- Jakarta and New York City -- the new update offers visual accessories that represent your present location, down to the neighbourhood," tech website theverge.com reported.

Now when users will tap the sticker button in Stories, they will notice location-specific options at the top of the menu and these new geostickers will take viewers to the map of that spot so they can see photos and videos from other users.

Earlier this month, Instagram announced it will make available immersive, full-screen ads in its Stories feature for all businesses globally.

In January, Instagram announced ads coming to Stories. Ads in Stories help businesses use targeting and reach capabilities that make ads personally relevant to the people they want to reach.
