Telangana Police tops in the country

Warangal, March 08: Telangana Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy said On Tuesday the event of Telangana State Police sports and games meet,"The Telangana Police are in the first position, in the aspect of protecting the Law and Order in the Country"

Hyderabad city police topped the medal tally followed by Warangal city police and Grey Hounds in the second edition of the Telangana State Police sports and games meet held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Hanamkonda.

Hyderabad police bagged a whopping 47 gold medals, while Warangal finished with 37 gold medals.

Police from the State's capital won a total of 101 medals, followed by 117 medals by Warangal and 74 by Grey Hounds.

The 100 meters men gold was won by constable Survesh of Warangal Range, whereas the women 100 meters gold went to N Sujatha of Warangal city.

Kadium Srihari suggested to the govt. to give the Auxilary promotions to the Winner police men and presented gold medals.

On the final day, the tug of war event which was won by Rachakonda police team. They defeated the powerful Telangana State Level Police (TSSP) team in a tough fight.

The Meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Kadium Srihari, Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy, Tribal welfare Minister A. Chandulal and several members.
