Naidu disappoints over Budget

Amaravathi February 03: As we knew that Union budget was presented by union finance minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday.

In a reply that, Ap CM had commented over Jaitley's budget that the budget has nothing important to offer to Andhra Pradesh, expect the exemption in capital gains tax for about 28000 farmers, who participated in the land pooling scheme for the upcoming capital city.

The cash-strapped Andhra Pradesh govt has been struggling for funds to take up infrastructure and development projects.

The govt hoped that it would get a better deal in the Union budget. However, jaitly provided partial relief.

Chandra babu Naidu has been seeking funds for the construction of the state capital and technical support for commissioning a number of projects by 2018-19. Several pleas were ignored in the budget as union govt released rs 1500 crore for the Polavarm project so far.

At last, he stressed that the Ap Govt has sought rs 4000 crores for 2016-17, no major financial assistance has been announced in the budget.
