33 students admission to Azim Premji University

Hyderabad February 02: Students of the Telangana Social Welfare Hostels have achieved something big, again.As many as 28 students of social welfare residential schools have made it to the prestigious Azim Premji University in Bengaluru.

What makes their feat remarkable is that they have secured admissions through the national-level entrance exam for the undergraduate program.

"Never before did we get so many seats, and it is a golden moment in the history of residential societies. The entire credit goes to the teachers and students for their hard work and commitment", said Telangana Social Welfare Residential education Institutions society secretary R.S Praveen Kumar.

"Opportunity is the difference between success and failure. We are on a mission to pull the students out of the abject poverty thereby helping them to reach great heights in life", he said.

He also thanked chief Minister K.Chandra Shekhar Rao and minister for Scheduled caste development Jagadishwar Reddy for their unstinted support to the educational advancement of deprived children under the KG-PG Missions a press release issued on Wednesday said.
