Harish Rao fires on CPM

Hyderabad, January 21: Telangana Minister for Assembly Affairs and Irrigation T Harish Rao yesterday accused CPM of indulging political comments against the government which is giving top priority for welfare and development.

Talking to reporters here he flayed that the CPM state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram is talking lies on the welfare schemes and our plans of development. The CPM which has been opposing statehood for Telangana is resorting to mud-slinging on the government for mileage. He alleged that the CPM could not digest the growth and progress in the state and coming in the way.

Harish Rao claimed that Telangana winter session proved ideal at national level by offering clarifications and paving way for meaningful debate on key issues.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao himself gave replies and statements on such issues and clarified doubts. Out of 18 days of business the session held discussions on 15 issues and KCR spoke for eight and half hours.

Harish flayed the CPM leadership for its allegations that no discussion was held on BCs, SC, ST and Minorities and welfare. The house discussed on these issues by offering more time.

KCR replied to every question on Singareni issue and also dealt at length on SC, ST, Minorities and BC welfare.

The CPM failed to welcome our stance on our announcement to open 119 BC residential schools, 200 for Minorities and Rs 1000 for single woman. He also claimed that they have announced in the house to reimburse fees and also to implement a scheme for ex servicemen.

The CPM has no agenda he said and asked people to teach Veerabahdram a lesson for his false remarks. KCR is implementing a pro-poor agenda and implementing schemes he added.
