Free 5G Wi-Fi at Jatara

Hyderabad January 20: Nagoba Jatara is going digitize with wi-fi network. Adivasi youths are going to use high-speed Internet on their smartphones at the famous Nagoba Jatara starting on January 27.

The most important religious event of the Mesram clan of Raj Gonds of Adilabad and its neighboring districts is set to become the first of its kind in Telangana State where 4G and Quadgen 5G Wi-Fi will be provided free of cost.

"Yes, Wi-Fi is planned to be provided at the Jatara by Reliance and BSNL. Reliance will set up towers for providing Wi-Fi at 4G speed while BSNL will partner with Quadgen to supply 5G network on Wi-Fi," announced Mancherial Collector R.V. Karnan and in-charge Project Officer of Utnoor Integrated Tribal Development Agency which organizes the Adivasi event at Keslapur in Indervelli mandal of Adilabad district.

"Right now we are assessing the feasibility to provide 5G Wi-Fi at the Jatara. It depends on the availability of fiber at the place," told by BSNL General Manager, Quadgen, P.V. Subba Rao. The spread of Wi-Fi would be restricted to 200 meters around the venue of the Jatara and about 200 people will be able to connect the Internet at one go, according to the plan.

"We have also planned to organize a tribal food festival during the event with the support of International Crop Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and the Indian Institute of Millet Research. Hoteliers or individuals specializing in millet food will be invited to set up shop at the venue of the Jatara," Mr. Karnan said.

So Adivasi's are going enjoy the Jatara with Wi-Fi network and much more.
