Is Telangana Experiencing a poor Lockdown?

In view of surge in COVID-19 positive cases, the Telangana Government had issued orders imposing night curfew from April 20. Besides, it was extended by another 10 days, subsequently imposing a state-wide lockdown from 12 May 2021. In accordance with the corona second wave outbreak, the relaxation for all the activities allowed is from 6 AM to 10 AM daily.

Inclining the count of positive cases day-by-day, the second wave is spreading much faster than the first one. Anyhow, the lockdown restrictions vanished within 2 days of its announcement. People are still commuting on roads even after 10am, irrespective of the strict regulations imposed by Telangana Government. Especially, the capital city of Telangana - Hyderabad is not any more an exception out of it. In the same stride, the Police officials are also asking the people to stay home in order to break the chain of transmission.

On the other hand, it is reported that, due to the compressed hours of operation for resources, several areas are getting rushed for a huge demand. People are eventually missing out to maintain social distance, resulting in rules break. "If this happens to continue for a few more days, there might be no use of lockdown," feels health advisors.

Quite a few are also opting out for online purchase of daily needs, which is a good method at these times. Unlike, first one, the second lockdown is allowed to have home delivery service for any further requirements.

Yet, the second wave is inherited by "Black Fungus" (or)"Mucormycosis" that is too dangerous for mankind. So, as a citizen of India, it is our responsibility to keep our nation safe & drive the precautions smoother with the intention of saving our mankind. It will be better, if we ourselves get isolated in homes for our betterment of lives.

Finally, "Telangana is now experiencing a poor lockdown!" says people.
