New Delhi: Amid rising of coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh, the state government today announced a lockdown across the state on Sunday. To enforce the wearing of masks, the government also doubled the fine to Rs 1000 for those who caught without mask for the first time. The next time if the person caught without a mask, the fine will be 10 times. There will be a weekly closure in all rural and urban areas of the state on Sunday. Only the sanitation, sanitization and emergency services will operate during this period. Necessary awareness works should also be done in this regarding, an official statement said quoting chief minister Yogi Adithyanath.
