The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the newly built airport in Orvakallu, Kurnool district today. The event was a formal one.
Interestingly enough, Jagan announced that this airport is named Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy airport.
This is a tribute to one of India's first rebellious freedom fighters Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy who is a native of Kurnool district.
Jagan's decision to name the airport after the locally popular Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy is winning hearts now.

Netizens opine that Jagan could have named the airport after his father YS Rajasekhar Reddy but he refrained from it and picked Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, which shows his classy side.
