Land scams in Amaravati by TDP leader?

Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his men had resorted to large scale land scams in Amaravati cheating the dalits there and there was nothing wrong in serving notices to the former according to law, Minister Kodali Nani observed here on Tuesday.

Reacting to the furore raised by the Telugu Desam Party leaders like TDP state president K. Atchan Naidu and MLC Buddha Venkanna after the Andhra Pradesh CID served notices under CrPC Section 41, he said already many who had grabbed lands illegally were served notices. Even if the entire opposition parties did not like it, there was a need to take action according to law against Chandrababu for making hundreds of crores of rupees belonging to the dalits, he pointed out.


Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy alleged that both Chandrababu and the then urban development minister P. Narayana hatched a conspiracy through CRDA (capital region development authority) to grab lands belonging to SC and ST according to a plan. They had knocked away 500 acres in Mangalagiri constituency alone and in Tadikonda constituency, they had grabbed 3,500 acres intimidating them, he alleged. "Chandrababu replaced an IAS officer to take over as CRDA chairman. He had brought pressure on Revenue officers to tamper with the land records and purchased even patta lands for a song. He had issued several GOs towards this,"
