What does 2021 mean for Tollywood?

The year of 2020 turned out to be a total surprise and disaster for Tollywood. Despite getting off to a great start, with super successful films like Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, the coronavirus pandemic made sure that nothing else worked out for Tollywood.

Currently, 2021 stands to be a total mystery, with everyone still trying to adjust to the current circumstances. However, there are a lot of hopes associated with this year, especially with a vaccine for the virus having been approved.

Theaters have reopened, and Tollywood released its first film after the lockdown, Sai Dharam Tej Solo Brathuke So Better, on December 25th. Despite the pandemic, the film did a decent business at the box office, which has given a lot of hope for Tollywood, and other producers as well, as far as releasing their films in theaters is concerned.

A lot of films are scheduled to release for Sankranthi 2021, in theaters, and there are a lot of hopes on the performance of these films at the box office. These films would greatly define how the year of 2021 is going to be for Tollywood, and let's hope that things turn out to be a lot better than they did in 2020.
