Telangana Gandhi Bhavan is Buzzing with Activity once again!

The Congress party headquarters, Gandhi Bhavan, which wore a deserted look till Friday, is buzzing with activity since yesterday. Thanks to the Telangana Congress in-charge and MP Manickam Tagore, he seems to have brought with him a new found enthusiasm among the party cadre.

Gandhi Bhavan was almost a deserted place for more than year with not much political activity. Except a few leaders who regularly turned up for press conferences the cadre stayed away despite the party getting three Parliament seats in the state after a debacle in the Assembly elections.

However the appointment of Manickam Tagore as Telangana Congress in-charge made lot of difference with leader along with their followers turning up in an apparent move to catch the attention. The parking lot at Gandhi Bhavan was full of cars on Sunday.

Seniors in the party are hoping that Tagore could bring all the leaders to office and hope he would being some good omen too.

During a series of meetings with senior party leaders and later District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents, Tagore instilled some kind of confidence that was clearly lacking in the party.

Tagore chose to specifically understand the dynamics within the party and at the same time ensuring that the organisational structure got its due to express its views during the meetings. He stressed the unity and discipline yet again saying views of everyone needed to be respected, according to senior leaders.

State in-charge felt TRS was not invincible and people needed to be convinced how its takeover of the system and control over all the institutions within the State would be detrimental to people. The corruption of the party and undemocratically attracting the opposition MLAs to its fold needed to be exposed continuously at all levels, he argued.
