AP: 1933 people have tested positive for Coronavirus

As per the latest media bulletin released by the government of Andhra Pradesh, a total of 1933 people have tested positive for Coronavirus in the past 24 hours. This is the highest number of fresh cases reported in a 24-hour span.


The total number of cases in Andhra Pradesh is 29,168. A total of 19 people lost their lives yesterday and this is the highest number of deaths reported in a single day.

On the other hand, Telangana is doing much better now when compared to a few days back. The testing process has been ramped up as over 10,000 tests are being performed per day.

Telangana has reported a total of 33,402 cases till now. But only 1,62,171 tests were performed in the state till date. The positivity rate is around 20%. But the number of new cases is going down.

There is no inter-state transportation between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as of now and that could be possibly helping the situation.
