Woman Councillor died from coronavirus

A woman Councillor from Sangareddy died from the deadly pandemic of coronavirus late on Sunday at Gandhi Hospital, after struggling to get a bed with ventilator for days in several corporate hospitals of the city.


T Jayaprakash Reddy, a Sangareddy Congress party legislator, said that he went to several hospitals along with family members of the Councillor, but none of the hospitals agreed to admit her.

He also said that there were a lot of people in line to get a ventilator before the councillor, and hence, she couldn't get one at the end, resulting in her death.

He also said that the situation of Coronavirus in the state is far worse than anyone could imagine. Adding to that, he said, "Imagine the situation of Coronavirus in a state. A councillor couldn't get w ventilator, what about others?"

Jayaprakash Reddy also said that the situation of coronavirus in the state will turn out to be far worse and the number of casualties will only keep increasing if immediate steps are not taken to upgrade the infrastructure in hospitals to treat patients.
