Jagan passes sensational orders

For the past three days or so, the surprisingly high electricity bills has been the most talked about topic in Andhra Pradesh. For some reason, the electricity department billed residential properties for two months, April, and May at once. This resulted in a big spike in electricity bills as many households received bills which were twice or even thrice of their normal ones.

Netizens and common public have been complaining against the same ever since.

Incidentally, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has passed a sensational order in this regard.

"The electricity department should not collect the bill amount from the common public till May 30th. The sudden spike in bills should be monitored and the final decision will be taken only after that," he said.

Notably, the spike in electricity bills issue has become a national topic now. Numerous cases in this regard have been reported in Telangana, and other parts of India as well.
