Vizag leak: Massive decisions by AP Govt

The government of Andhra Pradesh has reportedly taken two huge decisions regarding the recent gas leak incident in Vizag.

The government has decided to hand over the compensation amount directly to the victims. They do not have to approach the respective collectorate or MRO offices to get the funds sanctioned.

The government officials will personally go to the houses of the victims and hand over the cheques. This is a first-of-a-kind implementation in Andhra Pradesh.

Also, the state government has decided to send back styrene gas. All the remaining gas at LG polymers plant will be sent back to South Korea through special containers.

"The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has ordered not to hold even a single ton of styrene in the state. All the remaining gas at the plant will be sent back to South Korea," said cabinet minister, Kurasala Kanna Babu.
