Telangana concealing Corona tests

The million dollar question that is looming over public is as to why Telangana government is concealing Coronavirus tests. The state government in the beginning released statement announcing how many COVID-19 tests it has conducted. However, now it has stopped doig the same.



The last time, health minister Etala Rajender announced number of Coronavirus tests " 19,037- done in the state was April 28. Rubbishing the allegations about concealing the tests, Etala said that that number of COVID-19 cases was more important that announcing the number of tests done.

However, its counterpart Andhra Pradesh is doing Coronavirus tests vigorously, following which more umber of cases are surfacing unlike Telangana.In fact, Andhra governmnet has been disclosing the number of tests on regular basis.

Interestingly, on Friday Telangana figured in the list released by the Andhra Pradesh government, but the columns pertaining to number of tests conducted and tests per million were left blank. On the other side, If one were to add the total number of tests done by all states and deduct the final cumulative figure from this, it would give the tentative figure of number of tests done in Telangana " around 42,430 tests. But the million dollar question is has the Telangana government done these many tests? If so, then why is it hiding?
