As a result of the sudden nationwide lockdown announced on March 25th, people from other states have been trapped in the states they've been working.
The state of Telangana has now transported a group of 1200 from Lingampally to Jharkhand, their home state this morning. The train will reach Jharkhand tonight at 11.
This is the first train to be carrying the migrants after the nationwide lockdown. The second phase of the lockdown will end on May 3rd, and the government is yet to announce what it plans to do next.
The total number of cases in India have crossed the 35,000 mark, and 1,147 people have died so far.
More number of migrants are expected to be transported from other states very soon.
