10 family members test positive in Hyderabad

In a startling development, 10 of a family on Old Malakpet have tested coronavirus positive. As per reports, an elderly woman of the family first contacted the virus, later it got spread to other family members. The Health Officials after coming to know about the incident, with no delay declared the are as a hotspot of COVID-19 and have set up barricades between Malakpet railway station and Old Malakpet. Nearly, 700 families in the are have been inquired about their health.



In order to curb the COVID-19 spread, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has set up 12- containment clusters in the City which will be under observation to check the spread of COVID-19. The clusters have been set up in Ramgopalpet, Shaikhpet, Red Hills, Malakpet-Santoshnagar, Chandrayangutta, Alwal, Moosapet, Kukatpally, Quthbullapur-Gajularamaram, Mayurinagar, Yousufguda and Chandanagar. The move cam in the wake of fresh 89 Covid-19 positive cropping up from these places.
