Corona Virus: New Update on Whatsapp

All of us are currently used to forwarding messages to five people at a time on WhatsApp. However, WhatsApp, owned by Facebook, has decided to limit the forwarding of messages to one person at a time.

This is being done to monitor the information that is being forwarded about Coronavirus. These forward messages are less personal than other messages and have the tag of 'Forwarded' on top. With the increasing amount of fake news on Coronavirus, this is will be a means to monitor fake information.

WhatsApp is currently working with various governments and the WHO to make sure that there is no fake information that can mislead the people. Also, WhatsApp announced the WhatsApp Coronavirus Information Hub to make sure that authentic information is available to its users
