The great Physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy was also the second chief minister of West Bengal and was awarded for his visionary leadership. On February 4, 1961, he was awarded India's highest civilian honor Bharat Ratna and died on his birthday in 1962 at the age of 80 after serving great in the world.
