Rajamoulis son Karthikeya debutant film

Hyderabad, Apr 24: The shooting of Aakashavani — the debut project of Rajamouli's son Karthikeya has been progressing briskly, with over 90% of the film shot in the interiors of the Paderu region. Set in the jungle, the film apparently revolves around the theme of radio.

Sources say that the Paderu schedule went on for almost 50 days amidst challenging locations, harsh climatic conditions and hectic shooting hours. “What an adventurous ride it's been. The whole film has been wrapped up in a single schedule with a tiny bit of it left. We are proud of what we did here,” shares debutant director Ashwin Gangaraju, who earlier worked as a writer and assistant director for Eega and Baahubali series.

Meanwhile, celebrated filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli who took a break from shooting his most-awaited film, RRR, dropped in on the sets of his son's maiden production, where he spent some time finding out how the film has been shaping up.

"Rajamouli inquired about how the shooting of his son’s film Aakashavani has been progressing. He even watched the footage and expressed happiness over the way the film has shaped up," informs a source.

The period drama, which also marks the debut of composer Bhairava (M.M. Keeravani’s son), also features Samuthirakani, the renowned Tamil actor and director in a significant role.
