Mumbai, Aug 21: Soon after Bollywood diva Priyanka got engaged to Nick Jonas, her popularity increased for the better.

The Priyanka Chopra Nick Jonas engagement is still the talk of the town, because after their union, the Bollywood diva has become the most followed actress, beating the likes of Deepika Padukone and others.

Soon after Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra got engaged to American singer and songwriter Nick Jonas, her popularity increased for the better. Not only was social media buzzing with photos of the soon-to-be-married couple, but there was a massive increase in Priyanka's personal Instagram followers as well. In fact, the Quantico actress now has the highest number of Instagram followers for an Indian celebrity.

The mantle was previously held by Deepika Padukone. Today, as it stands now, Deepika has 25.8 million followers on Instagram while Priyanka has beaten her and has 26.9 million followers.
