Vijay Devarakonda About Geetha Govindam Success

Hyderabad, Aug 17: Geetha Govindam, starring Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna, Subbaraju, Vennela Kishore and Naga Babu, is off to a great start at the box office.

According to the sources, The Parasuram directorial has earned Rs 16 crore on Day 1 at the worldwide box office.

Now, after Arjun Reddy, Vijay Devarakonda is the most discussed actor of Telugu cinema currently and he is in huge demand.

The collections of his Geetha Govindam surprised several young and top actors. The film raked Rs 16 crores on its first day and is running super strong at the box-office.

When asked, the actor admits that he is not bothered about the box-office numbers and it is the job of the producer to figure out the numbers as he is the investor.

"I wish to tell different stories to Tollywood audience. I am not aware of the numbers and the box-office potential. It is the story that excites me at the end of the day and I will follow accordingly. I am glad Geetha Govindam registered huge numbers but I am not bothered about stardom. I will continue to do films that impress me" said Vijay Devarakonda.

The film has everything an audience looks for: romance, comedy, sentiment and a little action. In fact, Parasuram has done a wonderful job in blending multiple genres successfully in Geetha Govindam. In other words, the film is a perfect entertainer this season.
