South Central Railway bags 2nd Rank on cleanliness

Hyderabad, Aug 15: In another achievement, South Central Railway (SCR) has bagged the second position among all zones of Indian Railways with Tirupati and Warangal ranked at No.3 position in A1 and A categories, respectively.

Vijayawada, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Kacheguda stations also feature in the top-15 list.

This ranking is as per the all-India third-party survey report on railway station cleanliness of Quality Council of India released by Railways Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday in New Delhi. SCR has registered a significant improvement by moving to second from the earlier fourth position.

This is the third such audit-cum-survey which has been conducted by Railways to increase level of cleanliness by identifying unclean spots/gaps and to improve cleanliness standards.

In A1 category, Tirupati station has bagged the third rank in the top-10, Vijayawada is at fourth place and Secunderabad has secured sixth spot while Hyderabad stands at eighth position. Kacheguda station is ranked 14th. In the A category, Warangal is ranked at No.3, Nizamabad at sixth and Mancherial at eighth positions.
