AP CM Chandrababu Naidu hoists National Flag in Srikakulam

Srikakulam, Aug 15: India is celebrating the 72nd Independence Day with much flavor and pride by hoisting the National Flag. Prime Minister Narendra Modi unfurled the National Flag at Red Fort in Delhi and he addressed the nation during this event.

The Independence Day celebrations are being held at Golconda Fort in Hyderabad and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao unfurled national flag.

The Independence Day celebrations in AP are being held at Srikakulam this time and CM Chandrababu Naidu is taking the guard of honour from several departments in the state.

For the first time, Srikakulam district will be the venue for State-level Independence Day celebrations this year. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu hoisted the national flag on the occasion.

Government Degree College (GDC) for Men ground is the venue for the event and collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy, joint collector KVN Chakradhara Babu, SP Dr C M Trivikrama Varma reviewed over the arrangements with officials at GDC campus on Thursday.

They discussed about expected attendance of people, students, officials and arrangement of different galleries for various sections of people. They also discussed about parking of vehicles and cultural activities to be taken up at the identified venues.

They finalised Naidu's entry and exit way to the venue, other VIPs, officials, invitees entry and exit way. The officials also reviewed over traffic diversion in the city. Officials of all concerned departments attended the meeting.
