Yadadri to Siddipet - Prostitution activities suspected

Hyderabad, Aug 05: Telangana's prestigious shrine Yadagirigutta town has witnessed illegal activities again.

Recently a Sex racket was busted in Yadagirigutta, near Hyderabad, The source says that when the police found few girls, wearing school uniform in a house, they had got suspicious.

Later after investigation, the girls revealed that they had been injected with hormones for early puberty. Rachakonda Police official rescued 11 minor girls, allegedly procured by a group of traffickers. Out of 11 girls rescued, 4 of them are below the age of 7.

Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh M. Bhagwat said the 8 accused traffickers belonged to Dommari tribe whose women are traditionally forced into prostitution. The Dommari community has been traditionally involved in prostitution.

The Police suspects that, The sex racket might be expanded in Siddipet, Kodakandla, Ramchandrapur , Chilakaluripeta, Peddapuram and some areas.Police have taken this issues very seriously and urges people to cooperate them to find such activities.

The traffickers told the police that the gang would also scout for young girls at railway platforms, perhaps those who had run away from their home.
