Baahubali web series: National award winner to direct

Hyderabad, Aug 03: Tollywood Filmmaker Praveen Sattaru has been on full swing. He has become a name to look upon with after the stormy success of his film 'Garuda Vega' and has been getting several offers.

But the director has decided to make a sensation by joining the team behind the Hindi version of Baahubali web series (Season 1). Praveen, along with other filmmakers Rajamouli and Deva Katta, will co-direct the series.

The first season of the much-awaited series will comprise 9 episodes based on Anand Neelakantan's book, 'The Rise of Sivagami'. It abducts Sivagami's (played by Ramya Krishnan) character from being an unruly and antagonistic girl to a wise and beyond compares queen.

The shooting for the show is likely to begin next month and the pre-production works are on in full swing.

According to the information from a close source, "The makers of Baahubali web series believe that Praveen's directorial quickness will help in elevating the film's emotional and visual overture. Thus, they roped him in for the project."

The web series will be shot in 3 seasons, with each season having as many as 9 episodes.
