Pantham Review: Failed to prove!!

Hyderabad, July 05: Gopichand Latest Movie Pantham which stars Mehreen Pirzada in the lead role has been released here on today and getting the lukewarm response from the fans.

Story:

Gopichand is a guy who smartly executes black money robbery from politicians, ministers. The main target of his robberies is Nayak Bhai alias Jayendra who is a home minister. Nayak Bhai hires investigators to find the culprit, surprise fact about Gopichand’s background reveals.

Performances:

Gopichand in his 25h film has been performed okay. In fight sequences, he worked hard. Mehreen has limited screentime as Gopichand’s girlfriend. Srinivas Reddy, Jaya Prakash, Prudhvi Raj‘s comedy performance evokes some laughter. Mehreen Pirzada looks beautiful in the role of Akshara and even does a good job with that she’s offered, but the unfortunate sad truth is that she’s only there to sing duets with the hero. The love track seems completely unnecessary to the proceedings of the film

Analysis:

Despite the commercial elements, ‘Pantham’ would’ve worked if only the screenplay and narrative were a tad bit tighter. Chakravarthy, who worked as a screenplay writer for ‘Jai Lava Kusa’, made his directorial debut with this one and while he does manage to convey his message by the end, he could've chosen an effective, maybe even a non-commercial path to do so
