After being kidnapped, missing girl found now!!

Hyderabad, Jul 03: As we know that, A newborn baby girl found in Bidar after the baby was allegedly abducted by a woman from the Government Maternity Hospital in Koti here on Monday.

The Sultan Bazaar police, who registered a case, launched a search for the suspected woman and said she boarded a Bidar-bound bus from MGBS here.

Police said the woman, who was caught on surveillance cameras on hospital premises took a city bus to MGBS and from there she boarded a bus to Bidar in Karnataka.

Sultan Bazaar ACP M Chetana said that at around 11.30 a.m. the suspect approached Sabavat Vijaya (25), mother of the six-day-old girl, promised to take the girl for vaccination and asked the latter to take rest. The incident took place when Vijaya's husband and other relatives went out for lunch.

"When the woman did not return with the baby, Vijaya started searching for her, but in vain," the ACP said. Vijaya’s husband Nari, a lorry driver and other relatives who returned after lunch also joined the search for the missing baby.

"By that time, the woman had fled with the baby," police said. Ms Chetana said that the abduction of the child was recorded on the CCTV cameras on the hospital premises and teams were formed to nab the woman.

Meanwhile, relatives of the abducted baby staged a protest in front of the hospital, condemning the alleged negligence of authorities.

Vijaya, a farm labourer was admitted to the hospital on June 21 and gave birth to the girl child last Wednesday and was shifted to the post-operative ward. The girl was her second child.

So far, the police could not establish the identity of the suspected woman who was caught on the surveillance cameras of the hospital, said M. Ramesh, DCP East Zone.
