Janhvi Kapoor reveals, why she deleted all her Instagram posts

Mumbai, Jul 03: Bollywood Gorgeous beauty Janhvi Kapoor is the daughter of late actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor.

Even before Janhvi Kapoor's debut film was announced, the 21-year-old created quite a stir on social media, thanks to her gorgeous looks and impeccable sartorial choices.

Janhvi had innumerable fan clubs sharing pictures and videos of her, but her own Instagram profile was private until a few months ago.

Janhvi, who is on this month's cover of Harper's Bazaar along with her Dhadak co-star Ishaan Khatter, revealed in an exclusive interview with the magazine that she deleted all her posts before making her Instagram public.

"As for my Instagram, I used to have a private profile and then I was told I need to open it up, so I deleted everything to start from the beginning," she said. Janhvi currently boasts of 1.9 million followers on her verified account.

Janhvi is currently gearing up for the release of her debut film, Dhadak. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film is a remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat, which revolved around two star-crossed lovers from different castes.

Contrary to popular belief, Janhvi told Harper's Bazaar that she had to audition to land a role in Dhadak. "I actually didn't audition. Karan (Johar) came home and made me do a few readings of different scenes and eventually that evolved into getting a part in this film," she said.

Dhadak is slated to hit the screens on July 20.
