Mahanati: Samantha appreciated by Nag Ashwin

Hyderabad, June 29: Directed by Nag Ashwin, the yesteryear actress Savitri's biography was portrayed as 'Mahanati' starring Keerthy Suresh in the titular role.

Recently, the movie had completed 50 days. In this context, Nag Ashwin made a post on his official Instagram account.

"Samantha wasn't competing with Keerthy...she was fighting for screen time with the legend of Savitri garu...and she pulled it off like No Other actress of our time could. Period. She was the first one to come onboard, just out of pure love for cinema and Savitri garu...this is on the first day of the shoot, on the bus, where she had to do a full-page monologue with a stutter...Mahanati is what it is because of Madhuravani...She helped make a biopic and epic...Thank you for the privilege Vani garu," Nagi wrote.

The film also stars Dulquer Salman, Vijay Devarakonda, Rajendra Prasadh, Divya Vani, Krish, Tharun Bhascker and Prakash Rajun in the lead roles.
