Varanasi: Frogs wedding, a true belief!

Varanasi, June 23: Till now we have seen that people praying God for rainfall in many ways such as offering 'Homam' (or) offering something that is a favour to god.

But, for the first time, the villagers had conducted a marriage for frogs (that too made from plastic) in order to make sure the rainfall. Yes, this happened in Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking to the media, the locals stated:

A group of people organised a wedding of two plastic frogs in Varanasi. Organisers say, 'we want rainfall in the city. It's an old belief that wedding of frogs makes Indra Dev (God of rain in Hindu mythology) happy. So we organised this wedding, requesting Indra Dev for monsoon'
